Business Profile

Tax advisor for individuals, small businesses, trusts and estates I moved from Oxford to Stafford in 2012 - hence the name. I am a Chartered Tax Advisor (seen as the gold standard for tax professionals and the highest level tax qualification in the UK) and a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. The tax world is constantly changing and so my intention is always to provide proactive and timely tax advice to my customers. As a STEP member I am also qualified to provide advice aimed at people in their later years and while I am qualified to prepare wills I do not, but I am happy to review your will or talk about the clauses that you might wish to include so that the beneficiaries of your will do not pay more tax than they need to on your death.

My speciality is in dealing with customers who have overseas interests. They may be looking to move to the UK with their current employer but still have some overseas duties to perform. They may have a house overseas that they receive rent for. They may be looking to move overseas and need advice on how to ensure that they are no longer UK resident. 'Non-Doms' have had a bad press recently, however, in my experience, many simply do not understand how our tax system works and how it dovetails in with the rules in their country - I am here to help.

While my practice is taxation driven I do provide other general accountancy services such as preparation of Limited company accounts, sole-trader and partnership accounts, payroll and the review and/or preparation of VAT returns (I have an external bookkeeper to help me here, and keep the costs down).

My initial meeting with any client is free and I am happy to discuss things on the phone, or use Skype or FaceTime if that is easier.
